Mercedes-Benz Sun Shades
A broken or sagging sunshade can be more than just annoying. It can also block your view, let in heat, and reduce your cabin’s comfort. Replacing it is easier than you might think and keeps your Mercedes-Benz looking and feeling premium.
How to Replace a Damaged Sunshade on Your Mercedes-Benz
Repairing the Sun Shade on Your GLE SUV
1. Inspect the Current Sunshade
Look for visible signs of wear, separation from the track, or fraying edges that indicate the need for replacement.
2. Remove the Overhead Trim
Carefully detach the interior trim or cover that conceals the sunshade’s mounting points or track system.
3. Disconnect the Damaged Sunshade
Unscrew or unclip the worn sunshade, noting where it connects to the track and tension system.
4. Install the New Sunshade
Align the new sunshade with the guide rails and secure it using the same clips or fasteners as the original.
5. Reattach Trim Panels
Snap or screw the overhead trim back into place to finish the repair and restore the clean interior look.
Still Feeling Discomfort? Check the Air Quality
While replacing your sunshade, it’s also a good time to check your cabin air filter to keep your GLE’s airflow fresh and clean year-round.
